CASPIAN TIGERS

While Caspian tigers were alive, they were nicknamed the “grey tigers” for their dull colours. But from surviving skins, we can tell they were a burnt orange colour. They were massive and powerful, the largest recorded being 3.6 metres long! They lived in Central Asia and the Middle East, and were also called the Hyrcanian tiger, Hyrcan tiger and Turan tiger.
